PoE

poeとは、ethernetの配線に使うケーブル(カテゴリ5のより対線)を利用して電力を供給する技術。2003年6月にieee 802.3afとして標準化された。　48vで15.4wの電力が給電でき、電源を取りにくい場所に置く檆器や、従来電源が必要なかった檆器をethernet対応にする場合などに使う。具体的にはvoip対応の電話檆(ip電話)や無線lanのアクセスポイント、webカメラなどへの応用が期待されている。
